#1 Ranked – Bovada Casino Review

Below you’ll find my review of Bovada’s casino. The focus is on their sic bo game, although I covered other important details too, including their promotions, other casino games, deposit options and support. So read on and see what you think. If you’d like to check out Bovada for yourself, just use the links on this page.

Also, signing up for a new account at Bovada will get you access to bonuses worth up to $3,000 and an instant selection of Sic Bo games, online slots and more at the site.

To get the party started, here are some pros and cons to playing at Bovada.

Bovada Pros

  • Bovada accepts American players.
  • The support staff is fast. Most responses (by email) are in less than 4 hours.
  • There are over 250 casino games.
  • You have access to a poker room and sportsbook.

Bovada Cons

  • Sic bo does not count towards the rollover requirements for the deposit bonus.
  • Sic bo is not available in the instant play software.

Now lets take a look at Bovada’s sic bo game, their promotions and banking methods.

Playing Sic Bo at Bovada.lv

Since sic bo isn’t available in the instant play software, I downloaded the casino software. The download went smoothly. However, the sic bo download wouldn’t work. I was told that the software couldn’t connect to the download server. After several failed attempts, I finally uninstalled the casino and reinstalled it.

That did the trick.

Once I opened the game up I was met with the familiar blue felt with black rails that all Bovada table games have. The graphics are nice, and the software functions well. It’s fast, too. Definitely not what I expected after running into problems trying to download it.

In regards to the sic bo game, the table minimum is $1 and the maximum is $500. Nothing unusual there — that’s standard for Bovada’s table games. The chip denominations are 1, 5, 25, 100 and 500.

Other Games at Bovada

Bovada has a large library of casino games. There are 265 games, broken down into the following categories:

  • Slots — 111 slots including 3D, 3-reel, 5-reel, video, Real-Series and progressive jackpots.
  • Video Poker — 77 games including loose deuces, deuces wild, bonus poker, aces and eights and jacks or better.
  • Progressives — 52 progressives including caribbean stud poker, let ’em ride and 48 different themed slot games.
  • Table Games — 22 games including blackjack, tri-card poker, craps, roulette and caribbean stud poker.
  • Specialty Games — 3 games including sic bo, keno and bonus bingo.

Keep in mind that if you want access to all 265 game you’ll have to download the software. They’re not all available in the instant play library.

You can also use the same account information to play poker and bet on sports. However, you can’t access them using the casino download.

Bovada’s Promotions

Bovada offers more than 5 different promotions between deposit bonuses and their VIP program. However, sic bo players can’t take Bovada up on their offer(s), with the exception of the points for their VIP program. Here are the details.

Welcome Bonus

Bovada has two welcome bonuses:

  • Slots — The slots bonus is a 100% match up to $500. For example, if you deposit $275, you’d receive $275 free. This bonus has a 50x rollover.
  • Table Games — The table games bonus is a 100% match up to $200. For example, if you deposit $100, you’d receive $100 free. This bonus has an 80x rollover requirement.

The downside to both of these bonuses is that the rollover requirements for both cannot be completed by playing sic bo. If you want the bonus money, you’ll have to earn it playing one of Bovada’s approved games. That’s pretty much anything other than blackjack, sic bo, roulette or craps. But be sure to read their terms and conditions to be 100% sure.

Other Promotions

The only promotion that applies sic bo players is Bovada’s Casino Benefits. This is a points program. For every real money wager you make, Bovada gives you points. Then every Friday Bovada will covert those points to chips you can play with. Every 100 points will equal $1 in casino chips and 500 points is the minimum Bovada will convert.

Sic bo players will receive 2 points for every $10 wager.

Banking Options

Bovada’s banking options include credit/debit card, Rapid Transfer and money transfers. Payouts are made through Rapid Transfer or check. Keep in mind that checks can take up to 10 days to process and a week to reach your home.

I’ve contacted the support staff at Bovada multiple times. They don’t have a live chat option, so I always contact them using their email form. Each time it’s only taken them a couple of hours to get back to me.

If you want to contact them by phone, you can do so using one of the following phone numbers:

  • Casino – 1-866-234-1324
  • General Support – 1-888-263-0000

The downside to Bovada is that they don’t allow you to clear their bonus while playing sic bo. It’s not available in their instant play software either, so Mac and Linux users will be out of luck unless they download the PC software using an emulator.

Other than that, Bovada is a solid casino. They have a nice sic bo game, a large library of casino games, and their bonuses are generous if you don’t mind playing other games to fulfill the play through requirements. And you can still earn comp points by playing sic bo.

So overall, I’d have no problem recommending Bovada.lv to you.
